The competition heats up!

Round 5 is done and dusted and our leaders are beginning to establish themselves at the top of the table.

Bayside Braves continued their winning ways with a convincing 68-37 win over the Southern Seahawks. The Southern Seahawks will certainly be disappointed and would have looked for a closer margin.

Western Thunder’s win over NSEW Falcons has now jumped them up to 3rd spot on the ladder. Sam Owen stood up as the 53-34 win will certainly help as Thunder look to push towards a finals spot later in the year.

Kardinia Spartans put their first win on the board with an 18 goal triumph over Doncaster. The 49-31 win sees Kardinia rise from bottom spot on the ladder. Lead by Michael Potaro the control and speed was too much for the young Doncaster outfit.

The Battle of the North match between Titans and Bullets came down to the last few seconds as titans couldn’t score to equalise the game. In a match that went goal for goal Bullets came out eventual winners 42-41.

A 13 goal win for Western Ice also keeps them in touch with Bayside Braves at the top as they defeated Eastside Saints 60-47. Both side brought a strong physicality to the match especially over the transverse area with Ice able to capitalise on more turnovers to run out eventual winners.

With the first five rounds completed the teams look to be spreading out. Will anyone be able to halt the Braves impressive run? Can Falcons get their first win of the season?

Round 6 promises to be one of our most exciting yet – so get your backside courtside tonight!
