Life Member: Craig Moore

Craig Moore has shown dedication and exceptional contribution to VMMNA over the years.

He has demonstrated continuous service since 2000 with AMMNA after being involved as a player for ADF in 2000, and has since continued service directly with VMNL/VMMNA since start of 2001. During this time Craig has continued to provide valuable input to VMMNA in many different capacities, with no break from the association at any point in the last 20 years.

He has a decorated playing career, having been first selected in the Victoria Open Reserves team in 2001, and then again in 2002 and 2004. In 2003, Craig made his debut in the Men’s Open team. He continued to represent Victoria as a player in the Men’s Open team from 2005-2009.

It was at this point that Craig moved into an official capacity within VMMNA, taking on a coaching role. This began in 2010 with taking on the 19 & Under Development team who were runners up of the championships. Since then, Craig has been involved as both a coach and manager of a number of different teams including Mixed Reserves, 19 & Under Res, 20 & Under Res, 23 & Under Res, Men’s Reserves 2 and more recently the successful 20 & Under team. Craig has recently challenged his coaching skills and now coaches the 23 & Under team. Craig’s coaching career has spanned over 10 years, demonstrating an overwhelming desire to nurture and develop the future of Men’s and Mixed Netball in Victoria.

However, Craig’s coaching experience is not only limited to Victoria, also having been successfully appointed coaching roles for AMMNA, including the recent appointment as Assistant Coach to the Australian 20 & Under team.

While this may have been more than enough involvement for some, Craig then went on to join the VMMNA Committee in 2018 where he has had various roles including, Vice President, Interim President, Junior & Senior MLeague Coordinator and assisted on the sub-committee to the Tour Manager.

Overall, Craig exemplifies the values VMMNA strive for and has demonstrated significant contribution through his many years of service.
